5K's and Ice Skates

This weekend was filled with fun out in the cold.  It started out early Saturday morning with the Mustache Dache in the 22 degree freezing cold.  But Karly, Lacy and I  rocked it and improved our time from our last run by alomost 10 minutes and finished in 32 minutes, Hooray.

Then, after meeting all my college girlfriends for lunch I came home to more playing in the snow with these two cuties. We finished the night with The Hunger Games movie, stayed up way to late, then crashed as soon as our heads hit the pillow.

The next morning we figured we needed more time in the freezing cold and thought we would take Jackson ice skating for the first time.  He wasn't quite sure at first but once we got the hang of it a little we had a lot of fun!  And, no one fell down!!!

Cody had fun watching with Daddy and Nana and clapped everytime we skated by.  Overall, a fun-filled, freezing cold, fantastic weekend! So thankful for our wonderful family!

Boo! Its Halloween!

Jackson and Cody before they went trick-or-treating.  When we told Jackson to say trick-or-treat, he kept saying "Boo! Its halloween"  Come to find out a week later-its part of a song he learned at Nana's.  He was super cute at all the houses, he couldn't quite reach the doorbells, so Daddy helped him.  Then he said his cute little "trick-or-treat" and "thank you"  then get s excited and show Daddy what he got.  He loved it!
Candy sorting-Cody went to 2 houses then came home and helped hand out candy. Jackson and Dad went around the neighborhood and look at all that candy!

Carving pumpkins-Sydney, Cody and Chris.  The best part of course is the pumpkin seeds! YUM!!!

Jackson teaching Cody how to carve pumpkins

These are Chris's, Jackson's and Cody's masterpieces

Kati did the dinosaur, Sydney did the star and drilled holes around it.

"Hey, Dude! What are ou looking at??"

Steamboat

Last weekend we took a trip to Steamboat with Chris's mom and Uncle Cam.  It was a beautiful trip with lots of colors.  Jackson collected a bunch of leaves to take home. Our neighbors happened to be there celebrating their anniversary, and we all took a walk to Fish Creek Falls, it was chilly but worth the trip.  We had a great dinner at a steakhouse where there was a huge grill and you got to cook your own meet.  It was delicious.  The drive home was very snowy and lots of cars were sliding off the road, we were happy to be out of the scary snowy passes!

Pumpkin Patch

After Cody's party, we went to the pumpkin patch and picked pumpkins.  Cody was way more interested in the wagon ride than the pumpkin picking.  Jackson wanted to pick out his own pumpkins and carry them all by himself.
