Steamboat

Last weekend we took a trip to Steamboat with Chris's mom and Uncle Cam.  It was a beautiful trip with lots of colors.  Jackson collected a bunch of leaves to take home. Our neighbors happened to be there celebrating their anniversary, and we all took a walk to Fish Creek Falls, it was chilly but worth the trip.  We had a great dinner at a steakhouse where there was a huge grill and you got to cook your own meet.  It was delicious.  The drive home was very snowy and lots of cars were sliding off the road, we were happy to be out of the scary snowy passes!

Pumpkin Patch

After Cody's party, we went to the pumpkin patch and picked pumpkins.  Cody was way more interested in the wagon ride than the pumpkin picking.  Jackson wanted to pick out his own pumpkins and carry them all by himself.

Cody's 1st Birthday

Happy 1st birthday, our little Cody Bear!!!   We had your birthday at the Promontory Ponds in Greeley.  It was a freezing morning, but once the sun came out it was a beautiful day.  We attempted fishing but all we caught were cattails, moss and rocks!!  My friend made you a cute little teddy bear cake (even though Jackson thought it would be a good idea to squish its head before you could see it, you still enjoyed it!!)  This year flew by so fast and you have quite the little personality!  You are so happy, love to explore, walking everywhere, eat anything, and just love to be the little mister mister that you are.  We love you SOOO much! Happy birthday, little guy!!

Day With Thomas

Jackson has been waiting all summer to go see the "real life Thomas". Yesterday his little dream came true and he was in Thomas heaven.  The train museum in Golden has a Thomas the Train that comes through every year.  We got to go for a ride on Thomas and take pictures with Thomas and Sir Topham Hatt.  There was a petting zoo, trains everywhere, Thomas story and song time, and a craft area to make train puppets.  Jackson seemed a little overwhelmed while trying to take it all in. He loved it.  Cody loved watching the trains go by, too.  He would point and squeal every time the train went by.  Later that night Jackson told me "I did see real life Thomas today. There were SO many trains and I did pick Bash".  He makes me laugh At the end of the day in order to leave you have to walk through the merchandise tent filled with Tomas everything (strategically placed).  So we let Jackson pick one thing out.  First, he picked a light up Percy, then he picked out a puzzle and put Percy back. Then he was walking around with huge eyes looking at alllllll the trains holding his little puzzle. Then he stopped at a table that he could barely see over and looked up and his eyes got bigger, he reached up and grabbed a little train named Bash. He picked it up off the table, held it tightly in his little arms, walked over to me and said "Mommy, put my puzzle back.  I found Bash!"  He is so silly.
