Camping

we went camping near Beaver Reservoir with Nana, Aunt Leez, Uncle Ryan and the cousins a few weeks ago! It was so nice to get away for the weekend and play outside! We had smores, slept "under the stars" played in the dirt, attempted our first fishing trip-no fish were biting but playing in the lake was just as fun!
Its hard to believe the very next weekend that whole area was under water.  I am so glad we were not there when the flood gates opened!

Now, this doesn't look so bad....lounging with your feet up, drinking juice! What a life!

11 months

Cody, Happy 11 months!!! This has been a fun month of playing outside, camping with the cousins, cutting 4 teeth and learning how to walk.  You are growing so fast, it is hard to believe you are almost a year old!

Cody-Bear, at 11 months old you:
~ walking along furniture, stand alone and have even taken a couple steps
~ you have 6 teeth (4 on top, 2 on bottom)
~ you go to bed easy after a bottle, but like to wake up between 12a and 1a and think its time to play....hopefully this will end soon :)
~ still love your binky-the same green ones they gave you at the hospital
~ you love the tags on your toys and blankets
~ you like to knock over the toys Jackson is playing with, then he pushes you away and you fake cry to try and get him in trouble
~ you love playing in the water and sanbox
~ you will eat anything, sometimes it is hard to keep the food coming before you scarf it down. Then as soon as you decide your done it all gets thrown off your tray
~ you are busy exploring everything you can get into
~ you crawl super fast and bear crawl on the sidewalk or grass if you don't like the feel of the ground
~ you are so cute and so much fun, and I love to see your little personality shining through.
We love you sooooo much and you bring us so much joy everyday!
xoxo

CFD 2013

At the end of July, we went to Cheyenne Frontier Days and spent a few days in Cheyenne.  We went to the Luke Bryan concert on Wednesday night.  It poured rain and his sound equipment quit so he dimmed the lights took the mic and sang some acoustic songs for us.  It was amazing.  Thursday we took Jackson and Cody to see the cows at Uncle Twan's ranch.  Jackson named the baby girl cow Rosie.  And he even got to ride the John Deere tractor.  Friday, we took the boys to the carnival to ride the rides and eat Dippin' dots. They loved it.  And we got back to Grandma's house just in time to see a giant hail storm and a funnel cloud even dropped down right off the front porch. It was scary, but it never touched down.

10 months

Happy 10 months, Cody!
Well, a combination of lacking photo skills and a photo target that cannot hold still long enough to snap a photo makes for some poor quality 10 month photos.  But they sure do capture Cody in action! And, boy do you go!  This month started with a trip to Cheyenne for a few days to visit Grandma and Papa during CFD, and ended with a sick Cody and 3 new teeth.

Cody, Cody, Cody,
You are becoming quite an independent little guy!  You love to explore, crawl in and out and around everything.  You swat the spoon away when we try to feed you, because you would rather do it your self, and are exploring lots of new foods. You like to listen to music, but don't have the patience to sit through a book-maybe a page or 2, then you move on to something else.  You like balls, trucks, or any toys that move so you can roll/drive them all around.  You like to climb on and roll off of Jackson's bed, over and over.  Changing your diaper actually works up a sweat-its like trying to rope a calf and tie them down.  You love the water-baths, lakes, pools, water table-love it all!  You are quite vocal with your high pitch squeal-which Jackson loves to imitate! You two can be so LOUD!!!  Sleeping? Oh I thought that was the time to do acrobats in the bed! haha Cody, you sure are busy and definitely keep us on our toes, but you are also so sweet and snugly when you want to be.  You still like your binky and like to find the soft tags on your blankets and toys. And you give the best little open mouth kisses.  Cody-Bear we sure love you and can't imagine you any other way!
xoxo

So sad this post is over......but stick around another one should be coming soon!
