Christmas

This year we spent Christmas in Cheyenne.  Well, we actually got to have two Christmas celebrations...the first was with my family-everyone came to our house for brunch, football, games, presents, and family time.
It was a lot of fun watching all the little cousins play and open their gifts.  I am super bummed though because, once again, I did not take any pictures.  So, I tried to make up for it in Cheyenne.  Despite being sick, Jackson and Cody found the energy to enjoy their first Christmas together.

On Christmas Eve, we all went to Grandma Donna and Papa Jeff's house for snacks and goodies.  Then, Chris's mom rented out a trolley for everyone to go around and look at Christmas lights. Jackson thought we were on a train ride!  It was wonderful, it was snowing, we had music playing and the lights were fantastic. It was a fun way to spend Christmas Ever.  And we had a White Christmas!
When we got home, Jackson got to open a gift, which was his Elmo PJ's and "Twas the Night Before Christmas" book.   After we put out milk and cookies for Santa we read his book and went to bed.
Santa sure spoiled Jackson with Thomas the Train stuff.  He was so excited when he woke up...Santa ate the cookies and milk and left him presents. He thought that was so cool!  Later when we asked im who ate the cookies he said "Brandi ate the cookies" (The Dog, lol)

Jackson and Cody had a great Christmas morning, we went over to Chris's grandparents house for brunch, which was really nice.  We didn't stay for Christmas dinner because Jackson, Cody and Chris all weren't feeling good. I am so thankful for our friends and family, and that we all could celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ together.  I feel so blessed.  Hopefully we will all be healthy in 2013.

2 months

Cody Bear, you are two months old now!!!  This month has been full of Christmas decorations, music, trying new recipes (thank you pinterest), trains, and shopping.  You are so content with whatever is happening as long as you can see whats going on. You like to look around with those big, beautiful eyes, or if its nothing too exciting, you will just sleep right through it.
You are so full of smiles and giggles, sometimes you will just laugh and laugh...it is so cute
You are getting so big...this shirt is already a 6 month shirt! The sleeves are two short on the 3 months clothes.
More smiles and giggles.
And of course, some of the funniest faces we have every seen-that makes us laugh and giggle, then you keep doing more! So fun!
 And, just lounging around

Well, Cody, that pretty much sums it up, eat, sleep, smile and giggle.  We just love you so much.
Jackson loves to help, too, he pushes you in your swing and yells "go, cody, go", he gives you your "binket" (tries to shove put your pacifier in your mouth), covers you up with your "blank" and narrates everything you do. cody sleeping, cody crying, cody bath, cody diaper, cody smile...Its a good thing he is here, I wouldn't know what to do!
At 2 months, Cody you:
~ sleep all night (til Chris's alarm goes off at 5, then you eat and go back to sleep until Jackson wakes us up at 6:30)
~  love to snuggle
~  play peek-a-boo
~  kick and swing at the toys hanging in your rain forest
~  make lots of noises-coos and squeals
~  still like to be swaddled, but will soon have to retire it because you are getting too big
~  like to take baths
~  take a bottle with no problem
Cody, you bring us so much joy and serenity.  When things seem to get hectic I can just take some time and snuggle with you and it makes any day so much better.  I love you so much!
Love,
Mommy

Mame

Mame
Mom and I went to the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse last week to see Mame. We had a nice dinner and enjoyed the musical, it was quite funny. I enjoy being able to spend so much time with my mom now that she lives so close!

tis the season

The stockings are hung, the tree is decorated, and the front of the house is strung with lights-complete with a 7 foot redneck nutcracker.  I do love this time of year, if only we could get a little snow it would feel a lot more like Christmas.  Being home from work around Christmas time is dangerous, because if i need to get out f the house i go "Christmas shopping".  Lets just say there may be more than Christmas decorations hung in the house and there might be a couple extra presents under the tree.  I need to go back to work, but then i will surely miss all of this:
Decorating gingerbread trains with Jackson and eating all the candy (then wondering why he won't take a nap)
Surprise visits from Papa Jeff

Going to see fire trucks and Christmas tree lightings
hanging out with Dad
Cute little Cody Bear faces
Brother Snuggles

Smiles and Giggles

Too busy singing songs on the  i pad to look at the camera
Maybe being home isn't so bad after all....

Here are some of the photos from your photo shoot done by Kelsey and Kayla. You just slept right through the whole thing.

Cody-Bear, you  are so precious and we are so happy to have you home.  Our family of four is the best, it has been amazing how easy this transition has been for us, even Jackson. You have brightened our lives and put smiles on our faces everyday!
We love you SO much!!!

We finally finished our basement! Now we have more room in the house for toys so they aren't filling up the living room!!!  And Chris has his media room for football and movies.  I am so happy with how it trned out, now i need to figure out how to decorate.
