tis the season
The stockings are hung, the tree is decorated, and the front of the house is strung with lights-complete with a 7 foot redneck nutcracker. I do love this time of year, if only we could get a little snow it would feel a lot more like Christmas. Being home from work around Christmas time is dangerous, because if i need to get out f the house i go "Christmas shopping". Lets just say there may be more than Christmas decorations hung in the house and there might be a couple extra presents under the tree. I need to go back to work, but then i will surely miss all of this:
Decorating gingerbread trains with Jackson and eating all the candy (then wondering why he won't take a nap)
Surprise visits from Papa Jeff
Going to see fire trucks and Christmas tree lightings
hanging out with Dad
Cute little Cody Bear faces
Brother Snuggles
Smiles and Giggles
Too busy singing songs on the i pad to look at the camera
Maybe being home isn't so bad after all....

one month
"Heeeeeyyyyyy Little Cody, you're only one month oldie" (sung by Chris everyday since you were "...only one day oldie")
Cody, at one month you:
~weigh 9 lbs. 4 oz.
~ sleep until about 3:00am then you won't go back to sleep unless you are snuggled in bed with mom and dad. Then we get up between 6 and 7 when Jackson wakes us up.
~ love to be moving, rocking, driving, bouncing, swinging
~ have very profound looks
~ grunt and squeak a lot
~ like to play "shadow" with Dad
~ are starting to focus on our faces with those big eyes
~ get lots of hugs, kisses, and sometimes trains, from your brother
~ nicknames: "Scruff the Scruncher" and "Cody-Bear"
Here are some of the photos from your photo shoot done by Kelsey and Kayla. You just slept right through the whole thing.
Cody-Bear, you are so precious and we are so happy to have you home. Our family of four is the best, it has been amazing how easy this transition has been for us, even Jackson. You have brightened our lives and put smiles on our faces everyday!
We love you SO much!!!

1 Week
Our little boy is already 1 week old. This has been a fun week getting to know Cody, and introducing him to all of our family and friends. He is such a sweet little guy, he sleeps all the time and is really calm. I don't know how we got this lucky, but I feel very blessed!
Jackson is adjusting well to the new addition to our family. He has his jealous moments, but he is learning quickly how to share time with Cody. He does love to give his brother hugs and kisses especially before bed every night.
Here is the traditional "1 Week Photo Shoot" that all started with little Mason. It is fun to see all the cousins at 1 week old, we had a great visit with them this weekend, too.
Cody William Patterson Jackson Carrel Patterson
Mason Robert Stover Emma Marie Stover
I tried to get a picture of all of them today, but I successfully got one picture and none of them are looking.
