Glenwood Springs

Papa, Kati, Jackson
Last week my mom, Jackson and I went to Glenwood Springs to spend some time with Papa while Jeri was off to Oregon getting married!!! We had a wonderful trip, a little bit of snow, relaxation, and lots of great conversations with Papa. Can't wait to go back...next time with Chris. He sure missed his little guy!

1 WEEK

I remember when I went to visit Mason when he was 1 week old. We did a "Tough Little Guy" photo shoot. So since today Jackson is 1 week old we did the same photo shoot. They are the cutest little cousins. I can't believe Mason was so small and I can't imagine Jackson growing up so big.

Its A Boy!!!!!!!

Jackson Carrel Patterson
Born on Friday, March 4, 2011
Weight: 7 lbs. 10.5 oz
Length: 21 inches

Chris and I had the most wonderful experience of our lives this past weekend- the birth of our son Jackson. What an amazing little miracle he is. The whole experience was life-changing and one we will never forget.
We are so blessed to have a healthy little baby boy.

Things I love about Jackson:
* I love his full head of soft, dark hair
* I love when he raises his eyebrows at me
* I love when he squeaks when he cries
* I love when he scrunches up and snuggles on my chest
Coming Home!
Wow, that was scary. We go into the hospital just me and Chris excited about what is happening. Then we spend two days with a wonderful nursing staff showing us what to do and how to do it. Then at 3:30 on Sunday afternoon they tell us "Your free to go home whenever you are ready..."  Now, I was looking forward to going home and sleeping in my own bed (which still hasn't happened very much), but then we pack up this little 7 lb boy into his huge car seat and walk out to the truck-the three of us. It has been quite an adjustment, and we forgot to bring home the owner manual so we have to figure this all out on our own.  I must say I think we are doing a pretty good job.  Nana has been a huge help, too, we are very thankful that she is here spending the week with us.  We are so incredibly happy to be home and are enjoying every minute as Mommy and Daddy.

9 months

As we approach the end of pregnancy and anticipate the birth of little Jackson Carrel Patterson I am asked almost everyday... "Are you ready?". My answer-"I think so".  How do you ever really feel READY for the biggest change in your life. Yes I am excited, nervous, scared, and prepared, but I don't think I'll be "ready" until Jackson is ready. When he is ready to come out into this world I will be ready with open arms to care for him, love him, feed him, nurture him, pray for him, teach him and watch him grow every day.  I have also been blessed by my family, friends and co-workers that have helped us prepare for our son with the many items that come with such a small child. I feel very fortunate to have such wonderful support in my life.

Diaper Cake
I think Skyler is ready, though... She loves all of her new toys, taking rides in the stroller, all the colorful paper that comes in the gift bags. And I think she going to be excited to have a new playmate chasing her around.

Thumb's Up!!!

Hello! It's been a while since I've been able to post a new blog due to our neighbors moving (whom we borrowed the internet from). So we have a slow day at work today so I am borrowing internet from work. :)
Hopefully we will get it at home soon.

This is a picture of little Jackson at one of the first ultrasounds a friend of mine did. I love it becuase he;s giving us a "Thumb's up". I think he is telling us "Everything is great in here, I'm doing just fine...Momma just gave me some ice cream , thanks Mom!"  He has grown so much bigger now, and he still loves ice cream! I can't wait to meet him.

December

I love this time of year!
I enjoy sitting back, relaxing with a cup of hot cocoa and a warm blanket working a puzzle.  I love driving around looking at all the Christmas lights. I love the bitter cold nights, even without snow.  I love the smell of fresh baked cookies.  I love spending time with family. And most of all I love Jesus Christ- thank you for happiness and joy.
I love plaing Santa for the cats...
They loved their treats.
